Lake City will once again usher in the Christmas season with the third annual "Candlelight Tour of Historic Lake City." It is an opportunity to tour six beautiful homes and three additional sites in Lake City.
The tour, sponsored by the Lake City Junior Sorosis Club, will be on Sunday, December 7, from 2:00pm until 7:00pm. The homes featured vary in size, architecture, history and style.
The homeowners are Tina and Scott Askins; Beryl and Harris Carter, Jr.; Michael D. Evans; Karen and Marion Fowler; Susie and Heyward King, Jr.; and Paula and Larry Reddeck.
Additional attractions include
- The Inn at the Crossroads, Lake City’s new boutique hotel.
- Francisco Goya’s “Los Caprichos” exhibit at the Jones-Carter Gallery—a 1799 world-class series of 80 etchings considered to be one of the most influential collections of graphic images in the Western world of art. Lake City will be the only venue in South Carolina for Goya's exhibit.
- The Whitehead Infirmary, built in 1938 and newly renovated.
